The University Change Portfolio Office is responsible for the University’s portfolio of strategic projects and programmes. We are looking for two skilled people to support and enhance this work, and we would love you to help us achieve the remarkable and build an inclusive world. 

About the Roles

Portfolio Office Administrator (permanent)

21 hours a week 

This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Change Portfolio Office in delivering strategic change.  The Portfolio Office Administrator will organise events, coordinate diaries and manage strategic SharePoint content in partnership with other team members, supporting the overall maintenance of the strategic portfolio through data and document management. Additionally, the role provides secretarial and administrative support to project managers such as arranging and servicing meetings and drafting and managing documentation.  

Project/Programme Administrator (Fixed term 31/12/2023)

17.5 hours a week

This role makes a key contribution to the successful delivery of the Student Experience Programme, a strategic programme that seeks to transform our approach to the delivery of services for students. This will contribute directly to the University’s strategy and its aims to improve the student experience.  

This role will assist the project team with administrative support including the monitoring of plans, status reporting, carrying out of background research, producing documents to help ensure key deadlines are met, and the coordination of meetings.

  • Provide excellent and effective support as part of the Change Portfolio Office team. 
  • Actively contribute to team activities, identify and delivering opportunities to improve how things are done. 
  • Work with people from across the University to help achieve the University strategy.
     
     

What you’ll bring 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and manage your own workload. 
  • Ability to work within a sensitive and highly collaborative environment. 
  • Experience of managing data and information across multiple systems. 

You will be a proactive problem solver who can manage multiple priorities to ensure that work is delivered on time to a high standard. You will be an engaged team member, but also able to work independently. You will be professional, clear thinking and act as a role model within the Change Portfolio Office.
