Location:  Highfield Campus
Salary:   £32,348 to £39,745 per annum
Full Time Permanent
Closing Date:  Wednesday 07 December 2022
Interview Date:   Thursday 15 December 2022

We are looking for an individual who has excellent data analysis skills and who can succinctly communicate the findings of their analysis to both expert and non-expert audiences.  You will provide high quality specialist analytical support with a specific focus on reward, equality, diversity and inclusion.  You will develop and deliver actionable insights that will inform our continuous improvement.

You will be forward-thinking and consultative in approach and will have strong analytical skills and a proven experience of working with large, complex data sets without close supervision.  This will be supported by advanced Excel skills and the curiosity to learn and master other relevant applications, such as Power BI.

Using your expert data analysis and investigatory skills you will work with stakeholders across the University to develop tools for sharing data and insight, to support the strategic plan for equality, diversity and inclusion and use data to tell the story of who is part of our University and cast light on what their experiences are and what is their journey like.

You will use your strong communication skills to carefully listen to what the issues are that colleagues are trying to solve, and to suggest different ways to analyse and present the data so that they can understand and use it.

The job includes a mixture of e.g. gender pay gap and equal pay reviews, developing and updating internal data dashboards, compiling data to support regular governance procedures, producing data analysis to support equality charters, as well as a range of one-off projects

You will be joining our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team which is made up by EDI specialist, project managers and communications specialists from a wide variety of backgrounds, experiences and sectors.  The team works in a hybrid way and team members are given flexibility and autonomy in how they deliver high quality, timely work.

Interviews will be held via MS Teams on Thursday 15 December.
