The University of Southampton’s Arts & Culture Team oversees a range of activities and includes our venues John Hansard Gallery and music venue, Turner Sims Southampton, both Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisations.  

We are looking to appoint a new role, Head of Arts Marketing Communication to join our Senior Management Team. This exciting post offers the opportunity to lead on a cohesive approach to promote our world-class arts and culture activities, optimising our assets to reach new and diverse audiences and communities across Southampton, the region and nationally. 

In this role you will lead on research and development of a Communications and Marketing strategy and plan, devise, deliver and evaluate campaigns to raise awareness of our venues, promote our arts and culture programmes and activities to a diverse range of audiences, including students, staff and communities. You will work with colleagues across the Arts & Culture Team and university community including the Communications Team, Student Union, civic partners, stakeholders and agencies.  

Experience of working in a similar role is essential, along with a passion for making arts and culture accessible to all. Team leadership, multi-tasking, devising and delivering campaigns, and data analysis are vital to this role.
