Salary:   £51,017 - £58,398 (for those below ST3 on 3 August 2016); £35,858 to £63,423 (for those at or above ST3 on 3 August 2016); GP Salary: £73,367 to £95,104.

The Faculty of Medicine, supported by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in either General Practice, Infectious Diseases or Child Health.

You will be developing your research and teaching within either the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences or Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education (depending upon the specialty), part of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton. You will also have clinical commitments at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust that will lead to further clinical skills required for specialist training and leading to full registration within the specialty. 

You will have a higher research degree (or have submitted for such a degree) and appropriate research experience.

In this post-doctoral role, the successful candidate will have substantial experience of the relevant research areas, a proven track record of high-quality original research publications, the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary, multi-professional team and hold a corresponding NTN. 

The post is subject to terms and conditions of service determined by the University of Southampton and in its honorary clinical capacity by the University Hospital Southampton Foundation Trust. 

Salary: £51,017 - £58,398 (for those below ST3 on 3 August 2016); £35,858 to £63,423 (for those at or above ST3 on 3 August 2016).  GP Salary: £73,367 to £95,104.

Post duration: 4 years (1.0 Full Time Equivalent) or up to 6 years part-time.
