Applications are invited for a full-time, permanent Education and Student Experience Advisor (ESEA) in the School’s Education Development Office (EDO) within Southampton Business School. The successful applicant will be passionate about working with students and education staff to enable our students to make the most of their time with us. Staff-student partnership is central to this role, you will be a team player who is also able to work independently and will have the ability to manage a varied workload.
The post-holder will work closely with undergraduate students and will be responsible for recruiting, supervising and supporting a team of student Peer Leaders who provide timetabled peer support for our first years. This requires a comprehensive understanding of the issues facing students as they transition to University and what strategies can best support them.
The school also has a large number of international postgraduate students and the EDO works to support them to adapt to life and study in the UK. You will support the peer advisor team who works with them to create and communicate both social and academic opportunities.
This role is an important liaison between students and staff and the successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills including knowledge and experience of using social media, and the current challenges facing students in UK HE.
