An exciting opportunity is available for a Trial Administrator to work with the Trial Manager for the Southern Hub on the ATTACK Trial based in the School of Primary Care and Population Sciences at Southampton General Hospital.

The ATTACK Trial is a multi-centre project funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment board (HTA), led from the University of Southampton, in collaboration with the University of Nottingham and involving Professor Simon Fraser and Dr Mark Lown in Southampton. The Chief Investigator on the study is Prof Hugh Gallagher, Visiting Chair at the University of Southampton and as well as consultant nephrologist at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust.  The fieldwork is being co-ordinated by Nottingham, with Southampton being one of the 3 regional hubs.

The postholder will be responsible to the Trial Manager and will support her in the overall efficient day-to-day management of the trial.   The successful applicant will have previous experience of providing administrative support in a health research environment.   You will be setting up and maintaining office processes; creating and maintaining appropriate filing systems, assisting with the collating of information if required by Governance departments and any other authorities as well as other duties as appropriate for the smooth running of the trial.  You will have good working knowledge of standard IT packages; including Microsoft Word, Excel and experience of Excel spreadsheets and data entry. You will be an excellent communicator who appreciates the importance of effective communication and confidentiality when answering queries from trial patients, the study team and other staff by phone or email.
