We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised person to lead the Health Services Library as a Library Site Manager based at Southampton General Hospital.
This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a site library team delivering excellent customer services to a range of customers including University of Southampton students and Southampton General Hospital Staff.
You will be a positive person with excellent communication skills and a proven record of strong people management skills. You will be able to successfully plan and deliver small projects and work effectively with key internal and external stakeholders such as our NHS partners and all Library teams.
If you are the successful candidate, then you will manage a team of Customer Services Assistants and Supervisors to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a high quality and professional customer service.
You will be responsible for managing team workloads, monitoring performance, motivating the team, and working collaboratively with the broader Customer Services team. You will be able to problem solve and use your initiative to ensure the service delivery is robust. In addition, you will have proven experience of using a range of IT systems to support the day to day operations of the service.
As the successful candidate, you will enjoy a generous annual leave entitlement increasing to a maximum of 24 days (pro rata). On top of that, you will also benefit from all of the supplementary University closure days as well as bank holidays.
