The School of Human Development and Health, within the University’s Faculty of Medicine, is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Regenerative Medicine and Musculoskeletal Science. The successful applicant will have strong research, educational, and organisational skills.

The appointee will be expected to develop and implement an innovative research programme aligned to the School research strategy with a focus on regenerative medicine applied to musculoskeletal science. The research will complement and integrate with other School research in regenerative medicine, musculoskeletal development and health, and stem cell science. Research interests in artificial intelligence and machine learning will be an advantage, as will expertise in ‘omics and/or translational science.  

The appointee will be expected to make a significant contribution to leadership, management, enterprise and delivery of education at both UG (BM) and PG (PGT/PhD/MRes in Translational Medicine) levels including developing the Faculty’s teaching portfolio.

The successful candidate will be supported by internationally recognised research leaders in areas of relevance to research in musculoskeletal science and regenerative medicine. The appointee will be expected to create and manage an independent, internationally recognised research programme and to obtain a portfolio of grant support to develop and sustain it. The appointee will be expected to integrate and/or complement the academic priorities of the School of Human Development and Health and the Centre for Human Development, Stem Cells and Regeneration and to facilitate collaborative links within the School, Faculty and University.
