Do you have excellent administrative skills, enjoy planning, supporting a team and being part of something important that makes a difference to students?

The University of Southampton Doctoral College supports PhD students, also known as doctoral researchers or Postgraduate Researchers (PGRs). - Delivering all aspects of the lifecycle from admission to graduation, this varied role is integral to delivering outstanding student experience and delivering the University strategy.

You’ll use your continuous improvement skills to ensure processes are as streamlined and effective as possible, support in the training and development of staff and have responsibility for the delivery of operational processes. You will have a high level of organisational skill and the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines and be comfortable with change.  You will be positive and proactive about working collegially and achieving your full potential, while supporting others to do the same.  You will use your abilities and skills to quickly become an expert in all aspects of Postgraduate Research administration and environment. Above all, you will have a passion for maximising the student experience.

You will work with professional service teams and academics across the University and in the process gain a wide understanding of how different service providers operate and the support they provide.
