Student Opportunities Coordinator

This is a fixed term post for 10 months to cover maternity leave. 

Part time, 0.6FTE, 3 Days per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Student Opportunities Coordinator to join the Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise division, working within the Work Experience Team to encourage and support students undertaking work experience opportunities. This role is a 10 month, fixed-term, maternity cover position, working part-time for 3 days per week in a hybrid working capacity.

Your focus will be to encourage and support students to participate in our work experience programmes, in particular UoS Internships, influencing student engagement across all target areas. You will utilise innovative messaging and marketing techniques to raise awareness of the opportunities on offer across our 25,000 strong student body and ensure information to students is readily available; regularly reviewing guidelines and processes to be fit for purpose. 

As you will be a point of contact for students undertaking a UoS Internship, you must be able to prepare and present written and verbal information clearly and concisely, including the delivery of group presentations. It is also essential that you are able to work as part of a team; prioritise and manage own workload in a fast-paced environment; and use qualitative and quantitative data.

If you have great customer relationship management skills, ability to work as part of a team, whilst also able to prioritise and manage own workload, we want to hear from you. Experience of design and delivery of marketing and communications are desirable and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel is essential.
