The Southampton High Energy Physics group has a postdoctoral research position available, starting from 1 October 2014 (or soon thereafter if a later start is required by a successful applicant).

The position is aimed at a candidate interested in the general area of collider phenomenology within and beyond the Standard Model.  Examples of suitable areas could include: jet physics, Supersymmetry, Technicolor,  Extra Dimensions, other BSM theories predicting exotic particles (such as W’, Z’ or leptoquarks) incorporating  Higgs boson(s) as fundamental or composite object(s).

The candidate will also be expected to interact with experimentalists at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory working at the Large Hadron Collider in the context of the NExT Institute activities.
The  interests of the complete  group include: collider phenomenology, particle physics and cosmology, neutrino physics, lattice QCD, b-quark and kaon phenomenology, higher order corrections and twistor methods, strings and branes and high density QCD.
